Kitchen Remodel Timeline: What to Expect Week by Week

A kitchen remodel is equal parts exciting and intimidating, especially when it comes to the timeline. Knowing what happens when helps you plan meals, manage expectations, and spot delays before they snowball.

Week 1: Prep and Protection

Before a single cabinet comes out, we protect your floors and adjoining rooms, set up a temporary kitchen if needed, and confirm material deliveries are on schedule.

Week 2: Demolition and Rough-In

Old cabinets, flooring, and drywall come out. Behind the walls we address any surprises and begin rough plumbing and electrical. This is the dusty week, but it sets the stage for everything that follows.

Week 3: Framing, Drywall, and Paint

Any layout changes take shape here. Walls go up, drywall is hung and finished, and the room is painted so finishes land on a clean surface.

Week 4: Cabinets, Countertops, and Tile

Cabinets are installed and templated for countertops. Backsplash tile and flooring wrap up the heavy visual work.

Week 5: Fixtures and Final Reveal

Sinks, faucets, lighting, and appliances are set. A final walkthrough confirms every door, drawer, and seal meets spec before we hand the space back to you.

Keep Your Timeline Honest

Most kitchen remodels run four to six weeks once construction starts. The biggest timeline killer is late material decisions. Lock your selections before demo and your project stays on track.
